As compared to the last T20I in Mohali, India made no changes in the squad, but the South African skipper, Quinton de Kock decided to make one change as Beuran Hendricks came in the squad to replace Anrich Nortje. South Africa started on a decent note as they got the wicket of the veteran Indian opener Rohit Sharma in the third over of the match itself.

On the first ball of the over, Shamsi delivered a fuller length ball and Shikhar stepped forward and lifted the ball over long-on with a clean bat swing. The very next ball wasn’t same, but Dhawan came down the track to get the pitch of the ball to loft it over the long-off boundary for another six Shamsi had his revenge in the very next over.

Here is the video of the sixes:

Dhawan came down the track again on the second ball of the 8th over, but Shamsi was smart enough to reduce the pace of the ball and pulled his length back a bit as well. Shikhar had failed to reach the pitch of the ball this time and ended up slicing the ball high in the air, over extra-cover, where Temba Bavuma backtracked to take a comfortable catch.
