During India’s tournament opener of the ongoing Asia Cup against Hong Kong on Tuesday, former Indian skipper MS Dhoni was playing an international match after a gap of two months and the former Indian skipper was expected to play a big knock on his comeback. Dhoni’s dismissal left fans disappointed but there was one kid who seemed to have huge expectations from the veteran batsman as the kid went onto show his displeasure after Dhoni’s dismissal. He walked out when Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed after scoring a deserving century. He played the first two balls nicely but got dismissed by Ehsan Khan, who scalped two wickets in the game. It was not the comeback that Dhoni was expecting and his young fan went onto express his disappointment to the cameras.

Here is the video of the incident –

At one stage, when Dhawan was batting fluently, India’s chances of reaching a target of 320 or more was looking possible, but his dismissal, Indian batting line-up crumbled. Team India started losing wickets on a regular basis and in the end, Men in Blue put up a decent score of 285/7 on the board. Shikhar was the star performer with the bat as he played an innings of 127 off 120. He was well supported by comeback man Ambati Rayudu, who scored 60 off 70.

Kedar Jadhav (28* off 27) helped India to come close to a score of 290. He looked to be in a fine touch with the bat. Even, with the ball, he bowled brilliantly as despite not getting any wickets he gave away just 28 runs in his spell of 7 overs.  It will be interesting to see whether he will be able to chip in with a wicket or two during Hong Kong’s innings.

India can’t afford to have a sudden fall of wickets in the middle during the marquee clash against Pakistan, which will take place on Wednesday. It will be after a period of 15 months that the teams will be up against each other.
