Currently, most loved IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings are locking horns with their northern counterpart Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. After winning the toss, the DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first on the sluggish surface where bowlers had all the fun in recent domestic and international games. However, they failed to do much with the bat barring Shikhar Dhawan and Shikhar Dhawan.
During the toss, the CSK skipper, MS Dhoni revealed that they have made no changes to the squad as compared to their last game, while Delhi made one change to their squad as compared to their last game as Trent Boult made way for Amit Mishra.
After having a slugging star, Delhi was struggling at 79/2 at the end of 12 overs, then came Pant who made a decent partnership with Dhawan for the third wicket of 41 runs before being dismissed by Dwayne Bravo in the 16th over. He took two crucial wickets in that over as he also dismissed Colin Ingram in the same over.

On the second ball of the over, Bravo delivered a length ball on the off stump and Pant went for ferocious hit over the square leg boundary only to be caught there by Shardul Thakur. Rishabh attempted a good-looking pick-up shot, timed it really well, but ends up hitting it within the range of Thakur at deep square leg. Thakur had to cover a lot of ground to his right to complete a phenomenal sliding catch.

Again on the fourth ball of the over, Bravo again bowled a length ball and for the second time in the over an innocuous delivery brought a wicket for the bowler. Ingram stayed leg-side of the ball and goes for the on-the-up drive, but ends up hitting it straight into the lap of the cover fielder, where Suresh Raina took a comfortable catch
