Glenn Maxwell, the Australia all-rounder has been in a great form, scoring 62 off just 28 balls in the first Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday. His blistering knock included seven fours and three hits over the fence. Maxwell brought up his half-century in mere 22 balls when he smashed a big six off a full-toss. On the very next ball, he emulated MS Dhoni’s famous helicopter shot to hit another six.
While sharing the video of the shot on Twitter, Cricket Australia wrote: “Maxwell brings out the helicopter! Consecutive sixes for the Australia’s No.3!”.

While Glenn Maxwell played a brilliant knock during his 28-ball innings, it was opener David Warner who took the limelight off as he scored his maiden T20I century and helped Australia post a huge 233/2 in 20 overs. David Warner, smashed four sixes and 10 fours in his stunning knock.

Warner got off to a flying start along with Finch, scoring 57 runs in the powerplay. The duo added 122 runs before Aaron Finch fell for 64. He was then joined by Glenn Maxwell, who put up a 107-run stand with Warner, before dismissing in the final over. Sri Lanka could only manage to score 99/9 in their allotted 20 overs and eventually lost the match by 134 runs. The second match of the series will be held at The Gabba, Brisbane on October 30.
