In April last year, Ali was criticized after he made mocking gestures at the Indian security forces at the Attari-Wagah border during the flag-lowering ceremony. The Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to commence on December 11 when the two sides meet for the first game in Rawalpindi. The second Test will be held in Karachi from December 19.
