South Africa and Ireland are currently involved in a three-match One-Day International series in Malahide, where Janneman Malan absolutely lit up the stadium with some fine stroke play during his dazzling unbeaten hundred.
South Africa is touring Ireland to play three ODIs and as many T20Is. The series started with a no-result in the opening game as the persistent rain forced the game to be abandoned with any result.
However, Ireland came with all guns blazing in the second game where Irish skipper Andrew Balbirnie scored a fine century to help his team win their first-ever ODI game against South Africa by 43 runs.
South Africa were needed to win this game in order to draw the series. They brought Quinton de Kock back in the playing XI and he instantly proved the decision right. De Kock shared a sensational 225-run opening stand with Janneman Malan.
De Kock got out after scoring his ton but there was no stopping Malan, who notched up his second ODI hundred and smashed Irish bowlers in all corners of the park.
Malan played a jaw-dropping shot over extra cover for a six, which left everyone looking for adjectives.

Mark Adair was bowling the last over of the innings and bowled a juicy half-volley to Malan, who was batting on 167. He went down on one knee and lofted the ball over the cover region for a maximum.
Malan scored unbeaten 177 runs in 169 balls, where he hit 16 fours and six sixes during his knock. He cruised South Africa’s total to 346/4 in the allotted 50 overs and gave Ireland a daunting task to chase.
