The rescheduled fifth and final Test between England and India are currently taking place at Edgbaston in Birmingham. While both teams are fighting for victory, Team India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah stole the limelight with a stunning delivery with which he dismissed England opener, Zak Crawley.
It happened in the 22nd over of England’s second innings when both the openers – Alex Lees and Crawley added over 100 runs. After having played so well he misjudged that delivery. He shuffled across but left it assuming the line to stay outside the off-stump, but it came inside a little bit and hit the top of the off-stump and he missed the fifty by 4 runs as well. He also scored 7 boundaries.

Meanwhile, on Day 3 of the match, Bumrah stole the limelight with a sharp catch while diving forward. The hosts resumed the day on 84/5 and added 65 more runs before losing their sixth wicket as well. Shardul Thakur, meanwhile, gave India the crucial breakthrough in his very first over of the game. And, Ben Stokes got out this way. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah, India’s 36th Test captain, should get equal credit for Stokes’ wicket as well. Although a ball earlier, he dropped a simple catch at mid-off, he did not repeat the same mistake again. In fact, it was quite a stunning catch after Stokes slapped hard at him. He tried to clear over mid-off, but Bumrah dived to his left to take the stunner and send him into the dugout. With that, Stokes departed after scoring only 25 off 36 balls.
