The second Ashes Test is going on at the Adelaide Oval where Australia have the upper hand. However, on Day 3 of the ongoing Test, Jos Buttler took an exceptional catch to remove Marcus Harris. But, he dropped an easy one on the very next ball off Stuart Broad which could see Steve Smith in the dugout as well.

As far as the game is concerned, Australia were 52/3, 289 ahead in their innings as well, where Smith and Labuschagne were in the middle. However, they had a poor start on day four as they lost two quick wickets within the first three overs of the game.

Soon, the pacer Stuart Broad pitched up to Marcus Harris (23) who attempted to drive but got out by a stunning diving catch by Jos Buttler. “Proper bowling here from England … that is what they haven’t done for two Tests, they’ve pitched the ball up and they’ve got two wickets,” Brett Lee said in the commentary.

The very next ball, Buttler – for the second time this Test, failed to grab and dismiss Steve Smith, who nicked off the first ball to Broad as well. “I can’t believe Jos Buttler’s dropped that,” Lee said.

Shane Warne shared: “Just imagine how he was feeling after he took Harris and then the next ball – how quickly things can change in this game.” Broad’s assault continued the next ball after the dropped catch, which struck Smith on the pads. The seamer more celebrated than appealed, but it was given not out.

Reflecting on England’s situation, Broad, in his column for the Daily Mail, Broad wrote: “Now, we need to hold the game as long as possible — although the ball is turning, it’s not misbehaving for the seamers in the slightest, so can we bat four sessions? Absolutely. Can we save it? Yes. We just need two or three batters to be heroic.”
