Currently, Team India is locking horns with South Africa in the third and the T20I of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengauru. After winning the toss, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli decided to bat first citing to test the batting ahead of the T20 World Cup. As compared to the last T20I in Mohali, India made no changes in the squad, but the South African skipper, Quinton de Kock decided to make one change as Beuran Hendricks came in the squad to replace Anrich Nortje.

After registering a dominating win in the second T20I in Mohali, Team India gained an unassailable lead in the three-match series against South Africa but failed to get going in the ongoing third T20I in Bengaluru. The Men in Blue ended their innings on a modest total of 134 for 9.

The in-form opener, Rohit Sharma had scored just 12 in the previous game, and he got out for just 9 in the ongoing one. Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli then steadied the ship and put India in a good position.

They took the score past the 50-run mark before Shikhar miscued a delivery from Tabraiz Shamsi to be out for 36. Five runs later, Kagiso Rabada dismissed Kohli too to leave India reeling at 68 for 3 from 63 for 1. Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya then provided the much-needed solidity with the bat but with the team in such trouble, they failed to go berserk in the slog overs.

The South African team started off the chase of 135 started off well as they were 76 without loss in the first 10 overs with Reeza Hendricks and De Kock going great guns. However, Hardik Pandya came out in the 11th over to dismiss Hendricks owing to a brilliant catch by Kohli. Reeza tried to fetch the pull shot from outside off but has no power or timing on it. Kohli moved forward, anticipating well and then dived in front to grab the ball few inches about the ground.
