Currently, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are locking horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, where the hosts are still searching for their maiden win. After winning the toss, the DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer asked the hosts to bat first. However, the RCB openers, Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel failed to get going as the latter got dismissed in the second over itself.   

Surprisingly, both the teams made no changes to their squad despite the fact that they were coming after facing a loss. However, RCB’s poor run continued in the game as well, as they lost the crucial wicket of AB de Villiers in the final over the powerplay as they which left them reeling at 40/2 after the first six overs.

After ABD’s dismissal, Stoinis also got out early in the 11th over, but during his partnership of 26 runs with Kohli, one of his shots which went for a six, impressed the RCB skipper. 

Stoinis smacked a monstrous six off the bowling of Sandeep Lamichhane’s first ball of the match and it left Virat speechless. Stoinis hit a juicy overpitched ball from Lamichhane straight down the ground into the crowd for a timely six. Kohli, who had been finding it difficult to time the ball took aback with the kind of nonchalance Stoinis hit that with.

The Australian all-rounder is no stranger to facing the wrist spin of Sandeep, the two play for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. It seems Stoinis had the idea of what was coming at him and was ready to take on the challenge.
