Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni’s love for animals is an open secret. Back in 2013, the Jharkhand-born cricketer had adopted a stray dog from a rescue home in Ranchi. Moreover, he has made a request to the local people the same thing and help the needy ones out. Previously, in an interview, the 37-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman talked about his fondness for dogs.
Dhoni said that he has three of them at home and he would love to go back home and spend time with them. However, he also mentioned that they don’t treat him any differently and greet him in the same way even if his team loses, and the gesture relaxes him to a significant extent. His wife Sakshi Dhoni is also fond of pets and has been seen posing with them on quite a few occasions.

Recently, Mahi posted a video on his official Instagram handle where he can be seen training dogs with a tennis ball. He can be seen throwing the ball after which the dogs pounced on it with their mouth. He captioned the video and wrote, “A bit of hugging, training, catching practice and getting unconditional love in return. priceless”

Currently, Dhoni is enjoying his free time as Team India is currently playing a 5-match Test series against England and he has hanged his boots from the longest format in 2014. However, in recent times, he hasn’t had the best of times on the field as during the ODIs and T20Is against England, he couldn’t quite come into his own with the willow. He was also booed by the audience at Lord’s, the Home of Cricket.
MS has been receiving a lot of criticisms and some even went on to suggest him a retirement. His next assignment is expected to be in the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month. India will try their level best to defend their title, especially after having a force to reckon with.
