Former Inda captain MS Dhoni is considered one of the best captains in world cricket. He is also the second-most successful captain in the Indian Premier League with three trophies in his name while leading Chennai Super Kings as well. CSK are also the most consistent team in the tournament.
However, the yellow army has reached the playoffs in every season except last year. The 13th edition of the league has been a forgettable one for the Men in Yellow as they finished second from the bottom as well as they never faced this situation before.

However, they bounced back well this season and did extremely well too. And, after winning three IPL titles, they are looking forward to winning another title in the 14th edition of the IPL. Moreover, their key batsman Suresh Raina who missed the last season has returned in full form as well.

Notably, CSK started the IPL 2021 on a high note and they were at second place in the IPL 2021 points table before the league got suspended due to COVID-19. CSK earned 10 points with the highest Net Run Rate of +1.263 as they won 5 games and lost 2 games as well.

However, the second phase of the league will take place in the UAE in September-October. And, for that, the teams have started their practising and CSK is one of them. A recent video has become viral on the internet that shows MS Dhoni smashing big sixes in the nets.
MS Dhoni who has retired last year has managed to score just 37 runs in 7 games in the ongoing season. He registered his best score of 18 as well so far. However, he has so far played 211 matches wherein he scored a whopping 4669 runs which came at a healthy average of 40.25. He has also smashed as many as 23 half-centuries and maintained a terrific strike rate of 136.64 including 317 fours and 217 sixes as well.
