WATCH – MS Dhoni Leaves Stadium In Ranchi In Nissan Jonga

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni met the Indian players after the third Test between India and South Africa in Ranchi as the hosts registered a 3-0 whitewash. He clicked a picture with Team India head coach Ravi Shastri and was seen interacting with Test debutant Shahbaz Nadeem and some other players as India wrapped the series 3-0 against South Africa.

After his time at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, which also has a stand named in honor of him, Dhoni drove away in his brand new beast, Nissan Jonga amid large cheer of “Dhoni Dhoni” from his home fans.

Dhoni had recently added the Jonga to his collection of cars. The vehicle is used by the Indian Army. His brand new addition comes after he bought a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk — a midsize SUV — in last month. In terms of cricket, there is immense speculation on Dhoni’s future ever since he made his last international appearance during the World Cup 2019.

MS had taken a two-month sabbatical from cricket after India lost the semi-final against New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 and it has been continuing till now. Although the start and end date of his sabbatical is not clear, the break saw him opt out of the West Indies tour. Following that, he was not included in India’s squad for the T20I series against South Africa.

the press conference after India whitewashing South Africa in Ranchi, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli was asked if he will go to Dhoni’s place and meet the former India captain. With a grin on his face before leaving the press conference, Kohli said, “No. He’s here. He’s in the change room. Come, say hello.” BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly has said that he will speak with the selectors on Dhoni’s position in the scheme of things.
