Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has always been known to give some crucial advice from behind the stumps to the bowlers in order to make their spells more effective. Every now and then the writ-spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal credits Mahi for his crucial advice, which helps them to improve.

On Thursday, the South African batsmen got entangled in the spin web of Chahal and Kuldeep as they succumbed to a score of 269/8 in the first innings of the series opener of the 5-match series at Kingsmead, Durban.

The stump mic caught MS Dhoni handing out tips to India’s bowlers in the first ODI against South Africa. The team India easily chased down the target of 270 runs with 6 wickets in hand and the Indian skipper Virat Kohli declared as player of the match for his brilliant century.

Virat Kohli scored 112 runs off 119 balls with the help of 10 fours. Ajinkya Rahane also played sensational innings. He scored 79 runs off 86 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.

During the first innings, Dhoni’s instructions to the bowlers were clearly heard on the stump mic. When Andile Phehlukvayo was facing Kuldeep Yadav, Mahi said, “Isko 6 ball to samajne me lag Jayenge, aage aaaja.”
