Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League 2021 in Dubai. RCB are in a commanding position to make their way to the playoffs while RR are in desperate need to win their remaining games to find a place in the top four.
Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first on a fresh Dubai pitch that has grass on the top. RCB handed debut cap to George Garton in place of Kyle Jamieson while RR brought Kartik Tyagi in while leaving Jaydev Unadkat out.

RR posted 149/9 in 20 overs. RCB will fancy their chances on this batting-friendly surface to hunt the target down.
Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli came out with all guns blazing and scored 48 runs for the opening wicket in 5 overs. Mustafizur Rahman cleaned up Padikkal while Kohli got run out while running on a misfield.
Srikar Bharat and Glenn Maxwell were batting in the middle and had the task to avoid further wickets. Maxwell, however, knows only one way of playing and that is to go for the kill. He started looking to score boundaries as soon as he came in the middle.
He played a pull shot against Kartik Tyagi in the 9th over of the chase and the ball almost carried to Yashasvi Jaiswal but it parried to across boundary for four runs. Maxwell, then, again went for a full-blooded pull shot and he, again, top-edged the ball. Mustafizur Rahman was standing in deep jumped high and stopped a certain six with his one hand.

He was unable to maintain his balance and hence didn’t try to complete the catch but his fielding effort saved five runs as the batsmen only ran one.
