The first Test between Australia and Pakistan is being played in Brisbane. On Day 1, there was a big controversy. Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed by Pat Cummins. When the umpire asked for a no-ball confirmation to the third umpire for a caught behind, and it was, later on, declared out. According to the third-umpire, the ball was perfectly fine.

In replays, it could’ve been seen that no part of Cummins’ foot was behind the line. Soon after the decision, people started criticizing third umpire Michael Gough a lot. People are calling them cheaters. Mohammad Rizwan was batting brilliantly for Pakistan. He had scored 37 runs.

Rizwan tried to play the shot off the ball of Cummins but the ball went to the keeper with the outside edge and the umpire gave out. But the umpire asked the TV umpire for no-ball, he called the ball legal and called it out.

After this decision, netizens went furious and people started criticizing the umpire a lot. According to the rules, if the bowler’s foot is not inside the crease, then the umpire gives the decision in favor of the batsman. Former Australian bowler Shane Warne said, “If I was in Pakistan, I would be very sad. Because it can be seen clearly that the foot is outside the crease. It should be given a no-ball. I feel very bad for Pakistan. I feel cheated with them.”

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee said, “It’s a clear no-ball. I can’t see Cummins’ leg anywhere from behind the line. There is a difference of a few inches, but the ball should be called no-ball.”

Earlier in the match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. But his decision was not proved right. Australia did not let any Pakistani batsmen to stay for long at the crease and kept on taking wickets from time to time. Pakistan bundled out for 240 runs. Asad Shafiq scored the highest 76 runs for Pakistan.
