Pakistani fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Junaid Khan combined to polish off the Sri Lankan middle order to help Pakistan reduce Sri Lanka to 236 in a virtual quarterfinal of the ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan went on to win the match by 3 wickets but not before some stutters and some poor fielding from Pakistani fielders including skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed who dropped a catch or two.
The incident happened in the Sri Lankan innings when Mohammad Amir bowled to Asela Gunaratne. The Sri Lankan all-rounder edged the ball before Sarfaraz dived to catch the ball. Sarfaraz was not sure about the catch being clean or not, so the wicket keeper signaled to the umpire to ask for a TV review which showed the catch was not clean.
