The young Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is one of the few players who has taken the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by storm. He has been grabbing eyeballs with his bowling exploits, earning praises not only from fans but also from the cricketing pundits. Even, his off-the-field antics have been equally entertaining this season.

A couple of weeks ago, Rashid flaunted his dance moves on the famous Bollywood number Kaala Chashma at a promotional event attended by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team. His other interviews have also got a thunderous response on various social media platforms, because of his calm and collected sense of humor.

Recently, another interview of Rashid with RJ Kisna, under his frequent alias of Nand Kishore Bairagi, was published online by Red FM. Once again the fun Q and A rounds would leave the viewers in splits. The host asked a handful of made-up questions, which Rashid answered in his trademark witty sense of humor. When asked about his favorite actors in Bollywood, he went with Aamir Khan, and among the actresses, he said Anushka Sharma and Preity Zinta were his favorites. He also added that he loves the work of Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist because his movies carry larger messages with deeper meanings instead of just being entertaining.

As for the actresses, when Kisna reminded him that both of them are married, Rashid said that is the only reason why he chose them as favorites. But it is probably because these two actresses are frequently seen in live cricket games, Anushka being the first lady of RCB and Preity being the co-owner of KXIP. Aamir Khan is also quite a cricket enthusiast and has been spotted in the stadium for matches of India, the 2011 World Cup final being one of them.

When the RJ asked that why does the umpire raise his index finger while giving a batsman out, and why not some other gesture. For this, Rashid had yet another quirky counter-reply ready. He said it is because the finger pointing upwards means the batsman’s time is up, and he has bit the dust.
