Currently, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are locking horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After winning the toss, the DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer asked the hosts to bat first citing the batting-friendly conditions. However, the hosts started their innings in an unforgettable way as the debutant Joe Denly got dismissed on the first ball of the match itself.
During the toss, the KKR skipper, Dinesh Karthik revealed that they have made as many as 3 changes to their squad as Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, and Harry Gurney made way for Denly, Lockie Ferguson, and Carlos Braithwaite. On the other hand, DC made just one change to their squad as Keemo Paul came back to the squad to replace Sandeep Lamichhane.
Ishant Sharma was bowling the first over of the match and on the very first ball, he sent the off stump of Denly for a cartwheel. After his wicket, Shubman Gill and Robin Uthappa added 63 runs for the 2nd wicket, before the latter getting dismissed in the 9th over by Kagiso Rabada.

On the third ball of the over, Uthappa was looking to play the hook shot but ended up getting a glove on it and the ball went up and Rishbab Pant took a good diving catch towards his left. It was a brilliant grab from the keeper as he had to time his jump well and he made no mistake there.
