As the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has ended in the UAE, the focus has shifted to the T20 World Cup which will begin after a week. The last time T20 World Cup took place was in 2016 which India hosted and West Indies had won the title after defeating England at the iconic Eden Gardens. However, this time Virat Kohli led Team India will begin their campaign against Pakistan.
However, India did qualify for the Semifinals in the last season but they lost to the West Indies. This time, both India and England are the favourites towards winning the T20 World Cup. Moreover, both teams have a strong pull of players in their batting lineup as well as their bowling attack.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli on Saturday said that pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s experience and accuracy is going to be priceless for the team prior to the T20 World Cup.
“His (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) economy rate continued to be top-notch in the IPL, he has always known for this, and his experience comes to the fore,” said Virat Kohli during captain’s call organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) before the Men’s T20 World Cup. “I think his experience and accuracy have always been priceless for the team. He is back to full fitness which augers really well for our team. I am sure he will get assistance with the new ball.”

While talking about India’s performance in the last 2 T20 World Cups, Virat Kohli said: “It was quite frustrating to go out the way we did in the 2016 t20 World Cup. But West Indies was the best team in the tournament, playing the best cricket as a team and I felt they thoroughly deserve to win that tournament. We had a heartbreak against Sri Lanka in the 2014 t20 World Cup finals as well, that tells us as far as our T20 cricket is concerned, we have always had a strong side.”
