After outplaying the Windies in the recently concluded five-match ODI series by 3-1, Team India took a 1-0 lead in the ongoing three-match T20I series and now they are looking to seal the series in Lucknow. After winning the toss, the Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite decided to bowl first keeping the dew factor in mind. However, Carlos’ decision wasn’t justified as the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan made a 100+ runs opening partnership and India reached the total of 195/2 as Rohit scored a century.

Before the final over of the first innings, Sharma needed 8 runs to reach his century and KL Rahul was on strike, but he took a single on the first ball. The Indian skipper justified Rahul’s single by scoring back-to-back boundaries to reach the century.

On the second ball of the final over, Rohit played a cut shot and the ball took the outside edge only to race away for a boundary towards the third man boundary.  Brathwaite bowled a wide full toss and it needed to put away as the Indian skipper got some luck. However, he didn’t need any luck on the next ball, as he scooped the ball towards the long leg boundary and reached his fourth T20I century.

After scoring the ton, Sharma punched the air and it clearly looked that he wanted this. Something funny took place on the next ball as Rohit came down the track to hit the ball to long-off but it’s cut off by Brathwaite. The batsman was outside his crease, he didn’t make any making any effort to get back, he’s too tired to do so, but the throw at the stumps is wide and goes to the boundary as well and four runs added in Rohit’s account.

However, Rohit smashed a huge six over long-off on the next ball which overpitched outside off. Here is the video of the happenings:
