The Indian cricketers are currently enjoying some off-time after the grueling two-month long Indian Premier League (IPL). Similarly, the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma enjoying his share of a fun time as recently he became the first Indian cricketer to throw the ceremonial ‘first pitch’ in the Major League Baseball for Seattle Mariners.
On June 4th, Rohit as part of pregame activity threw the ceremonial first pitch before the MLB at the Safeco Field, home ground of Seattle Mariners who took on the Tampa Bay Rays after that. He was invited by the Seattle Mariners to do the honors in their home game against Tampa Bay Rays at the Safeco Field baseball park in Seattle.
Sharma is enjoying his time with his wife Ritika Sajdeh for a company as well. The duo even posted a selfie on Twitter afterward.

As for the pitch itself, Rohit missed his mark a little and threw wide of the catcher who failed to gather the ball.

The celebrity throw-down is a ritual where a guest of honor is invited to throw out the first pitch to mark the start of the game. The Mumbaikar is currently on a three-city US tour. He will be visiting San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, and Los Angeles and will participate in some cricket clinics and will meet and greet the fans.

Recently, Rohit was dropped from the Test squad for the one-off Test versus Afghanistan. However, he isn’t too worried by the exclusion from the national Test squad and said that nothing changes for him. He said, “Nothing changes for me. I don’t want to change anything. I want to keep things simple. What has happened has happened. There is a right time for everything.”
