India’s stand-in skipper, Rohit Sharma is leading the team for the first time in a full-fledged ODI series in the ongoing three-match series against Sri Lanka.

After having a forgettable captaincy debut in Dharamsala in teh first ODI where Team India was bundled out for 112, but in the second ODI in Mohali Rohit has given a dream start to the team as they are above 200-run mark with 14 overs and 9 wickets in hand.

Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit gave the men blue the start they needed by building a 115-run opening partnership, 3 runs more than the total team score in the first ODI. However, Dhawan fell at a personal score of 68, Sharma continued the tremendous batting display on a not-so-easy wicket along with the youngster Shreyas Iyer, who scored his maiden ODI fifty as well.

However, during the course of his century in the 27th over, Sharma came out with one of the specialties of playing a pull shot from the front-foot and smashing it for a six over mid-wicket.  It was indeed a special shot as he was in the line of the ball and even timing was perfect timing which resulted in a six.
