Pakistan player Shaheen Afridi did well with the bat in the first innings of the Pakistan Super League final on Saturday where he hit an unbeaten 44 off only 15 balls to help his side Lahore Qalandars post a huge total of 200 for 6 against Multan Sultans at the Gaddafi Stadium as well. He played at a strike rate of 293.33 which also included two fours and five sixes. Lahore Qalandars were 112 for 5 in 14.1 overs when he came in to bat. What followed was absolutely amazing from him as he eventually helped his side post a massive total on the board as well.
However, as soon as the innings of Lahore Qalandars finished, the players of the team were quick to acknowledge his contribution with the bat. Meanwhile, spin-bowling all-rounder Rashid Khan waited on the stairs before the dressing room to receive Shaheen Afridi before other players also joined him to praise for his quickfire knock.

Shaheen Afridi, the Player of the Match and also the Lahore skipper said after the match: “To reach the final second time and win again is a great feeling. Credit to the entire team and coaching staff for keeping us comfortable. I think it was tough early on when the momentum was swinging between them and us. But the idea was to fight till the very end and it paid off. At that time, I felt like I should go to bat and was lucky to get a few in the slot. This win is for all those Pakistani people who seek joy in PSL. They deserved a game like this.”
