Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi was seen chewing tobacco in a national event held in Pakistan. However, the details of the occasion are still unknown. Even the video of Afridi, which was shared by a Pakistan journalist Ali Salman Alvi and has become viral on social media. An ex-cricketer chewing a tobacco in a national event is indeed a shameful thing.
However, there is no denying the fact that this is not the first time that the flamboyant all-rounder has been involved in a controversy. He has come under the scanner time and again for his off-field exploits. In the video, Afridi can be seen looking here and there and then putting the chewing tobacco inside his mouth. Chewing tobacco is one of the cheapest things available in the Indian subcontinent.
Shahid Afridi has been in the news also for the wrong reasons. Recently he got into trouble when said that the people of India gave him more love and affection than the people of Pakistan. Hence it is a very unfortunate incident to see one of the Pakistan cricketing greats indulging in cheap stuff especially during a national event.

Afridi, who showered praises for Alastair Cook, has been one of the finest cricketers to have played for Pakistan. Over the years, she has been a sensational performer for Pakistan, especially in ODIs and T20Is. He was one of the most fearsome batsmen during his heydays.

Shahid Afridi held the record for the fastest century in ODIs for more than a decade which was later on broken by Corey Anderson and then AB de Villiers eclipsed his record. He was also a brilliant bowler in the ODIs as well. As a leg-spinner, Afridi ended his ODI career with 398 wickets. He didn’t use to turn the ball much, but his pace variations were cunning enough to unsettle any batsman in the world. The veteran all-rounder came back from retirement on three occasions. His last international match was for the ICC World XI against the Windies earlier in the year.
