Currently, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After winning the toss, the SRH skipper, Kane Williamson decided to bowl. However, initially, the decision backfired as both the KKR openers, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine added 42 runs in just 16 balls.

During the toss, the KKR skipper, Dinesh Karthik revealed that they have made three changes to their squad as, Rinku Singh, KC Cariappa, and Prithvi Raj came in for Robin Uthappa, Kuldeep Yadav, and Prasidh Krishna. On the other hand, SRH made no changes to their squad.

Lynn and Narine added as many as 28 runs in the first two overs of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem. Even, Narine started the third over bowled by Khaleel Ahmed with a huge six followed by a couple of boundaries before getting out on the 4th ball of the over. After Narine’s dismissal, KKR kept on losing wickets in regular intervals as Shubman Gill was also dismissed by Khaleel in the 5th over.

Nitish Rana got out in the 8th over off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar but, Lynn kept on smashing the SRH bowlers. Karthik and Lynn also failed to bring a partnership as the KKR skipper was dismissed in the 9th over owing to a brilliant throw from Vijay Shankar.

On the second ball of the over bowled by Nadeem, he had given some air and Karthik had worked it to midwicket. Unexpectedly, they go for the second run with Shankar swooping down on the ball, who threw the ball flat and hard hat too on the stumps and Bairstow has no problems breaking the stumps. Karthik attempted a full-length but he was still out comfortably. He didn’t even wait for the third umpire’s decision but stomped off the ground, clearly unhappy. There was never a second run there.
