Watch – Shubman Gill Using Cuss Words After Dropping Catch

Shubman Gill had a day to forget on the field against Rajasthan Royals during the 18th match of the Indian Premier League 2021. He, first, played an intent-less innings during the powerplay before dropping two catches while fielding. Kolkata Knight Riders registered their fourth straight defeat in the ongoing season and gone at the bottom of the points table after being beaten by Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai.

Gill has often been labelled as the next Virat Kohli. Interestingly, he was seen using cuss words just like Kohli. The Indian skipper has been caught by the camera several times using cuss words during the matches.

The incident occurred when Gill dropped Rahul Tewatia’s tough catch near the boundary ropes. He was very close to the boundary after taking the catch, hence, decided to throw the ball in the air to take a rebound catch. However, he threw the ball a tad far and couldn’t complete the catch. After this, he was caught by the camera using some cuss words.

Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a poor start after losing the toss. They scored just 25 runs in the powerplay, where Gill contributed 11 runs off 19 balls that he faced. Nitish Rana also played a slow innings to score 22 runs in 25 balls. Cameos from Rahul Tripathi and Dinesh Karthik took KKR’s total to 133/9 in 20 overs. Chris Morris took four wickets in his spell at the expense of 23 runs.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals chased the target down comfortably. Sanju Samson played a calm innings to anchor the chase till the end. He remained unbeaten for 42 runs. He found a good ally in David Miller, he was not out after scoring 24 runs. RR won the game by six wickets with seven balls to spare.
