The latest edition of the Indian Premier League didn’t start on a good note for his team as SRH registered three consecutive defeats and looked low on confidence. However, they finally break the shackles against Punjab Kings and registered their first victory of the season by winning the game with nine wickets in hand.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was dominating the game from the beginning but there came a moment where they were needed 10 runs off 11 balls. That was the moment from where they could have pressed the panic button but Jonny Bairstow had different ideas as he hit a six to seal the game for his team. Seeing her team almost winning the game, Kaviya Maran couldn’t hold herself back and looked emotional in front of the cameras.

Earlier, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. SRH addressed their middle-order woes by including Kane Williamson into the XI. David Warner-led side didn’t allow PKBS batsmen to score freely and they crumbled under pressure to a below-par score of 120/10. In response, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow added 73 runs for the opening wicket before the former was dismissed by Fabian Allen.
