Watch: Sunil Narine Bowled Maiden Over To Andre Russell In CPL

West Indies spinner Sunil Narine bowled a maiden over against Andre Russell in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2021 during the match between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders on Tuesday.

Both teams locked horns in the 19th match of the season where Trinbago came out on top. Jamaica was chasing 168 runs and was in deep trouble after losing several wickets early in their innings.

Batting at number 8, Russell came in the middle when his team was struggling at 63/6 in 12 overs. The asking rate reached to 13 runs per over and Russell was expected to go berserk as soon as possible.

Kieron Pollard brought Sunil Narine to bowl against Russell in the 14 over. Narine started off with a dot. Russell tried to smack the ball out of the stadium but he failed to put his bat on the ball. Narine kept his line and lengths tight and didn’t allow Russell to break free.

Narine bowled dots after dots and Russell failed to score even one run against him.

Narine returned for another over and removed Russell for an 11-ball knock for one run. Narine registered the figures of 4-1-11-2 and helped his team to win the game.

On the match’s front, Trinbago scored 167/4 in 20 overs batting first. Lendl Simmons top-scored with 42 runs but it came in 39 balls. Kieron Pollard provided his team with a final flourish as he scored 39 runs in 18 balls, where he hit four towering sixes.

Jamaica got off to a poor start as they lost four wickets inside the powerplay and were reeling for 21/4 at one point. Their situation in the match went from bad to worse in no time as batsmen kept getting out. All the expectations fell on Russell who scored only one run in 11 balls before getting out.

Trinbago won the match by 75 runs as Jamaica got all-out for 92.
