Indian skipper Virat Kohli wears his emotions up his sleeves and the world knows it. He never shies away from giving it back to the opponents, be it with words or send-off or sledging. Kohli doesn’t know how to hold it back.

Another such example was on display during day five of the Lord’s Test. England players were chirping in the ears of Indian players since the morning session. The heat was on at Lord’s as Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood and James Anderson were trying to get under the skin of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

Both Indian players tried their best to negotiate the verbal duals and kept their calm to punish England with the bat. Shami scored unbeaten 56 runs while Bumrah remained not out on 34 – the highest score for both in the Tests.

It was the turn of the Indian players to give it back to England and Virat Kohli led the team from the front. He didn’t hold back from the very first ball and was in the ears of Rory Burns before Bumrah dismissed him.

Later on, when it was the turn of England bowlers, Kohli gave it back in a proper style to every newcomer in the middle. Robinson arrived at the crease after Mohammed Siraj dismissed Sam Curran. Kohli went up to him and said, “This guy (Robinson) laughed at me when I missed a cover drive. Now he is playing to save a home test. How important is this innings in a test match? Come on then big mouth.”

After setting a target of 272 runs to get in the 60 overs, Indian pacers led the charge for Team India. Bumrah and Shami gave India a flying start before the others chipped in as well. Siraj picked another four-wicket haul in the second innings as India pinned England on met to win the Lord’s Test by 151 runs.
