Indian skipper Virat Kohli has often been termed as an arrogant and rude cricketer on the field. However, that misunderstanding turned upside down with one small gesture shown by the Indian skipper in England recently.
While Team India was leaving for the Headingley Stadium on Tuesday for the series-decider of the recently concluded ODI series, few fans gathered outside the hotel to have a glimpse of the stars. But, there was one lady who asked the cricketers for autographs but most of them refused and even security guards were stopping the people from doing so. MS Dhoni denied the lady straight away, signaling a no with his hand. One after the other, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Shastri and others came out, but that lady couldn’t found a luck.

However, there was one cricketer who made the lady’s day and it was none other than the Indian skipper himself who came out of the hotel meddling with his phone and on seeing the lady, he stopped and signed an autograph for her. By doing that, Virat won hearts all over of again and his fans did not hesitate to express how happy and proud they were of their hero. Moreover, a few fans went on to last out at the people who have always slammed Kohli as an arrogant and rude person among his fans.

While not signing an autograph does not make the other cricketers rude, it’s just that this special gesture has certainly earned Kohli some valuable brownie points.
Unfortunately, Kohli and his ended up losing side in the Leeds ODI and so the series as well 1-2. With India and England tied after the completion of T20I and ODI series, the decider of the tour will be battled out in the much-awaited five-match Test series, starting August 1.
