Team India got off to the best possible start in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final against Bangladesh at Birmingham with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar taking the wicket of Soumya Sarkar in the very first over itself. Kumar went on to take yet another wicket of Shabbir Rehman to bring India back in the contest after Shabbir threatened to take the game away from India.
After losing the early wicket of Soumya Sarkar, Shabbir Rahman went on counter attack mode hitting the very first ball of his innings for a four. He raced to 18 runs in no time at all. The Indian bowlers then came into Grove and bowled a maiden in the sixth over through Jasprit Bumrah. The following over too had 4 dots in a row and the pressure finally got to Rehman as tried to cut a slower ball from Bhuvi which he gave a simple catch to Jadeja. As soon as the wicket fell, a visibly charged Kohli showed no lack of emotions as he was seen launching a series of expletives in celebration.
