The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was chasing a record of four successive ODI centuries in the fourth ODI against the West Indies at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. However, he failed to achieve the feat as he was dismissed for 16, his lowest score in ODIs this year. Yet, with the help of centuries from Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu, India stormed to their third biggest victory as India went 2-1 up in the five-match series.
It was a rare failure for Kohli, who became the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs in the second ODI but he is a crowd favorite – fans love watching his every move on and off the field. And they also love the fantastic pair Kohli makes with his wife Anushka Sharma, one of Bollywood’s leading actresses.

Kohli has been on a record-breaking spree in the ongoing ODI series against the Windies. During the third ODI in Pune, Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score three consecutive ODI hundreds. In the first two matches, he smashed 140 and 157 not out in Guwahati and Visakhapatnam respectively. This was also Kohli’s sixth hundred in ODIs in 2018. With the first three coming against South Africa earlier in the year.
In the second ODI against the Windies, Kohli also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs. Virat is only the fourth Indian and 13th batsmen to enter the 10oooo-run club in the ODIs. Kohli surpassed the landmark in just 205 innings while Tendulkar had reached the milestone in 259 innings.
