The rain threat loomed around the final day’s play of the third Ashes Test in Perth but brilliant work by the groundstaff at the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) stadium made sure that the conditions were back to normal after a thunderstorm had leaked onto the pitch.

However, the good work faced some grueling conditions when a sudden squall blew the covers over sweeping the groundstaff off their feet. In a video tweeted by the @CricketNetwork on Monday, the groundsmen were seen running to prevent from being swamped by the covers that blew and then rose up gaining height like Tsunamic waves.

Australia needed six wickets to take the unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series and reclaim the Ashes. England, who were bowled out for 403 in their first innings, were behind Australia (662/9 declared) by 259 runs going into their second innings but lost quick wickets before the fourth day ended.

However, they registered a historic series win just before the tea break by an innings and 41 runs.
