The 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on Monday, April 10. Coming in to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to reach a huge score of 212/1 on the board thanks to fantastic knocks by Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf du Plessis.
The top-three batters of the side all completed their half-centuries as Bangalore posted a huge target of 213 runs for Lucknow to chase. In the second innings, as the KL Rahul-led side looked to chase the target, they were in an early spot of bother as man-in-form Kyle Mayers was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj in the very first over.

Following that, things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Wayne Parnell came in to bowl in the fourth over of the game. Parnell took a couple of wickets in the over to further dent Lucknow’s batting unit. The 33-year-old dismissed Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya and celebrated in style, copying the celebration of legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

Earlier in the game, LSG skipper, KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bowl first owing to the flatness on the pitch and chances of dew later in the innings. RCB openers, Faf and Virat Kohli managed to score 56 runs in the powerplay overs with the latter scoring most of the runs. After the dismissal of Kohli, Glenn Maxwell joined Faf du Plessis and decided to go hammer and tongs as they started smashing the LSG bowlers all over the park to help RCB reach a humongous total.
