After winning the ODI series 2-1, Team India are all set to play against the same opponent in the shortest format, starting from July 25. Howveer, the first match of the three-match series will take place at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday. And, Shikhar Dhawan-led Team India will be favourites in the series with Indian Premier League (IPL) stars as well.
The players like – Ishan Kishan, Prithvi Shaw, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav might have played a few international games but they have a lot of experience playing in T20 cricket, and one can expect them to do exceptionally well too.
While India have clinched the first two ODIs convincingly, Sri Lanka dominated the third ODI and managed to win as well. With ICC T20 World Cup is just around the corner and veterans like Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, and Niroshan Dickwella not in the squad, other Sri Lanka players will certainly try their best to do well.

However, the weather can play a spoilsport in the game. While the first two ODIs were done without any trouble, rain has played a part in the third game, which saw a reduced game of a 47-over per-side affair. However, conditions can be worse for the first T20I as well. As per accuweather.com, dark clouds will be there in the sky with the humidity level being higher also.
