Team India reached West Indies for a 3-match ODI series, followed by a 5-match T20I series. The ODI series is scheduled to be played at the Port of Spain, Trinidad while the T20I series will be played at three different venues. For the change, Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the Indian ODI side while Nicholas Pooran will lead the West Indies squad.

Recently, India won the 3-match ODI series against England in England. On the other hand, West Indies suffered a clean sweep in the three-match series at home. India will be playing with a second-string squad, and the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah will be missing the series. However, there are a few players like Suryakumar Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, and skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who will be confident of their abilities after a win in the ODI series against England.

With Jason Holder back in the squad, he will be expected to make a comeback to the playing XI in place of Keemo Paul who had a hamstring injury during the final ODI against Bangladesh.
