New Zealand pace bowler Jacob Duffy shared that the team has their plans in place for the youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the upcoming five-match T20I series, slated to begin on October 22. However, he is part of the touring squad but has not get a game in the five-match T20I series against West Indies.

“He’s an incredible talent. What’s amazing is that he strikes it so hard, and he does it consistently. He’s striking at 250 every game, and he’s not missing out very often. So, that is incredible in itself. Conditions here will be a little bit different for him, that’s obviously one thing for him to be challenged with. We’ve certainly had a good scouting session on him and certainly got our plans as to what we are going to do,” he said of Vaibhav Suryavanshi in a pre-match press conference (via RevSportz).

Jacob Duffy also expressed his delight over Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s return to the Indian team after almost four years. They shared the dressing room in IPL 2026 when RCB successfully defended their title as well.

“He’s not the fastest guy in the world. But man, he is so skillful. He swings the ball, he hits the length immediately, he reads batters really well. He’s got the skill to change it up too. So, it was really cool to see from his team’s point of view, to be on his side and see how he goes about it,” Jacob Duffy said.

“Potentially, but I think they are a really good team. They have always traditionally travelled really well. I’ve played them a lot, but it has all been in India. So, I am very much looking forward to getting them in New Zealand, a little bit more bounce that they might not be used to, but they are always going to be very strong, no matter where they are in the world,” Jacob Duffy concluded.
