In Kolkata Knight Riders’ last league encounter against Mumbai Indians, someone else apart from their fans were left disappointed. They were the cheerleaders.
Cheerleaders are generally seen happy and jolly, for it is their job to celebrate each time a particular team does well. Over the course of the tournament, they are so connected with the team that the team’s loss appears a self loss.
The same happened when Chris Lynn was dismissed against Mumbai Indians. Lynn was Knight Riders’ fourth wicket to fall and with his dismissal the chances of Knight Riders sealing a victory had diminished. Lynn ended up scoring 26 (14) with the help of three fours and two sixes. Kolkata eventually lost the match by 10 runs.
