The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are gearing up for a crucial match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In their previous encounter, RCB’s Will Jacks stole the show with a remarkable century, propelling his team to back-to-back victories. Now, with a chance to secure a spot in the playoffs, RCB looks to continue their winning momentum, with Jacks expected to play a key role once again.
Addressing the media ahead of the match, Will Jacks emphasized the importance of playing with freedom rather than succumbing to the pressure of improving their net run rate.
“As a batting unit, our focus has been on playing with freedom. Initially, we were lagging behind in terms of run rate and struggling to achieve desired results. We’ve worked on enhancing our scoring rates, taking calculated risks, and putting bowlers under pressure,” said Will Jacks.

Reflecting on the season, Will Jacks expressed regret over the team’s slow start but remains optimistic about their chances.
“While it’s disappointing that we couldn’t click earlier in the season, there’s still hope. With four games left, we’re determined to give our best and strive for success,” he added.
Discussing his role at the number three position in the batting order, Will Jacks acknowledged the challenges of batting outside the powerplay. He highlighted the need to adapt and take time to settle into his innings, especially when not facing the first ball.
“It’s a role I’m adapting to. Batting outside the powerplay presents its own challenges. Unlike opening, where you have a few balls to settle in, it’s tougher to find rhythm initially. But I’ve been working on it and aiming to contribute effectively,” Will Jacks explained.
