The Windies tour of India 2018/19 has come to an end as the hosts and the visitors are going to meet for the last time in this tour with the final T20I game of the three-match T20I series on Sunday night at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai).

India vs Windies

India has already secured this T20I series by leading it 2-0 at present. It means another India’s victory will complete the whitewash in this T20I series, while Windies are looking for a consolation victory.

Just like the Test and ODI series, the Indian cricket team has mostly dominated over the Windies cricketers in this T20I series too. After a fighting victory in the first T20I at Kolkata, the Indian side claimed a dominating victory in the second T20I at Lucknow.

While the Indian top-order batsmen are in very good form, Indian stand-in T20I skipper Rohit Sharma (111*) hit another T20I century in the last game. The middle-order batsmen have also shown their potentials at the right time.

The Indian bowlers have totally dominated over the Windies batsmen as they have hardly allowed the opposing batsmen to score the runs freely. However, some regular bowlers (Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Umesh Yadav) have been rested from the third T20I and it will be interesting to see how the other bowlers manage this situation.

The Windies side has mostly disappointed in this tour, including in the ongoing T20I series too where the team has failed badly. The inexperience is one of the major issues of this team while the top-order batsmen have hugely disappointed in this whole tour.

The visiting bowlers have also disappointed through their inconsistent performances. Players’ body-language are also not so powerful to challenge their present situation.

While some of India’s regular bowlers have been rested from the final T20I of the series, it will be a good opportunity for the visitors to showcase a better performance and clinch a consolation victory.
