Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has praised India’s fast bowling arsenal and said it to be better than New Zealand pacers. India will turn up against New Zealand in the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship final in Southampton.
Shami is in line to make his comeback into the India team after sustaining a fracture in the wrist six months ago during Adelaide Test against Australia. He is desperate to join his fast-bowling mates Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The pace trio is expected to lead the Indian bowling attack against New Zealand in Southampton against New Zealand.

Shami told Sports Tak that stats speak for themselves while comparing the Indian pace lineup with New Zealand’s trio of Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Neil Wagner.
“Obviously, we are (better than Boult, Southee and Wagner). When we play Test cricket, even if someone is having a bad day the other bowlers step up. When someone is down, we make sure to pick up that teammate and carry the team forward as a unit. We try to cheer him up as well,” Shami told Sports Tak.
“If you see our records, you will have an idea of what I’m talking about. Fans don’t become fans overnight; they know the entire history. We have done a lot of homework to build this fast-bowling trio of me, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.”
The 30-year-old feels that the best two teams emerged as the finalists of the World Test Championship 2021.
“The top two teams have reached the final and the match is in England. Conditions won’t be one-sided for either team. It will be a good match I think, both teams are balanced and solid. I don’t think either team will leave any lose point,” Shami added.
