English in-form batsman Jos Buttler was taken to the hospital for X-Ray after receiving a finger injury on the second day morning session of the ongoing first Test between the hosts England and the visitors India at Edgbaston (Birmingham). However, the report gives the huge relief in the hosts’ dressing room as he hasn’t broken his finger.
On Thursday morning, which was the day 2 of the first Test of five-match Test series between England and India, English vice-captain Jos Buttler received an injury on the middle finger of his left hand during the fielding.

It was the 17th over of India’s first innings when Buttler went for a catch at gully after Virat Kohli edged the English pacer James Anderson. But, Buttler failed in his effort and got a hurt on the middle finger of his left thumb.
The English vice-captain was rushed to the hospital for the X-Ray which has revealed that he hasn’t broken his finger.
The 27-year-old is currently in the dangerous form with the bat since the IPL 2018. However, in the first innings of this Test match, Buttler was trapped lbw by the Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for a duck.

Talking about the Test match, England was bowled out for 287 runs in the first innings on the second over of the day 2. England began the day on their overnight score 285/9 and added only two more runs before losing the last wicket.
Indian pacer Mohammed Shami picked up the last wicket as he had a bowling figure of 19.4-2-64-3. However, the spinner Ashwin took the highest wicket in that innings with the bowling figure of 26-7-62-4.

Meanwhile, the English skipper Joe Root (80) and the wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow (70) only scored the 50+ knocks in England’s first innings.
In reply, India is struggling very much against English pacers. Only the Indian skipper Virat Kohli is fighting in the innings, who has completed his half-century and running for a deserving hundred. India is currently on 206/8 while Sam Curran dominated by picking up four wickets.
