Had Peter Handscomb not played an innings of substantial importance, Australia would have ended up scoring anywhere close to the 300-run mark. Such a total is definitely a handsome one against any team, but, not the one you would want when you are on the course to score close to 400 runs.
Handscomb ended up scoring 43 (30) with the help of three fours and a six. Just after he hit a huge six off Umesh Yadav, he failed to connect the following delivery with his bat, becoming Yadav’s fourth dismissal of the day.
