Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) dynamic opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has sparked fresh speculation about his future with the franchise after posting a cryptic message on social media following the conclusion of IPL 2025. The post has left fans and cricket insiders wondering whether the 22-year-old is preparing to part ways with the team that shaped his IPL career.

The timing of the post was particularly interesting—it came just hours after RR wrapped up their season with a convincing six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK), chasing down 188 with 17 balls to spare in Delhi. Jaiswal played a brisk cameo, scoring 36 off 19 balls and adding 37 runs for the opening wicket alongside Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

While his words were measured, they carried an air of finality: “Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but continue to be grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings.”

Since joining RR in 2020 for INR 2.40 crore, Jaiswal has blossomed into one of the league’s most explosive and consistent openers. This season, he was Rajasthan’s leading run-scorer, amassing 559 runs in 14 matches at an average of 43.00 and a strike rate nearing 160.

Across six IPL seasons, Jaiswal has accumulated 2,166 runs in 67 games, including 15 fifties and two hundreds. His IPL success has translated into international recognition, making him a regular in India’s squads across formats. After finishing 2024 as India’s second-highest Test run-getter, he now gears up for his first red-ball tour of England. Interestingly, he also flirted with a domestic switch to Goa before ultimately staying loyal to Mumbai.
