As Team India prepared to depart for Brisbane, a minor but amusing incident caused a brief delay in their travel plans. Reports suggest that young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal unintentionally disrupted the team’s schedule, almost leading them to miss their flight. His mistake also drew a sharp reaction from captain Rohit Sharma.

According to media sources, the team was scheduled to leave their Adelaide hotel at 8:30 AM for a flight departing at 10:05 AM local time. While most players and support staff had boarded the bus, Yashasvi unexpectedly stepped off and returned to the hotel. This led to a delay of about 10 minutes, leaving the bus waiting.

Rohit Sharma, known for his calm demeanour, stepped out of the bus to discuss the situation with team officials. It was later discovered that Yashasvi had forgotten some luggage in his hotel room. The youngster eventually re-emerged from the hotel carrying the missing items and was escorted to the airport in a separate car arranged by the team’s management.

India started the series on a high note, registering a commanding 295-run win in the opening Test in Perth. However, the momentum shifted as Australia bounced back emphatically in Adelaide. With the series now evenly poised, the upcoming Brisbane Test carries immense significance, particularly with both teams eyeing a spot in the World Test Championship final.

While the minor episode added a touch of drama to the team’s travel, the focus now shifts to delivering a strong performance at the Gabba, a venue known for its challenging conditions and storied history in cricket.
