Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is now indispensable for Team India. At 22, Jaiswal has proved his mettle and is said to be one of the mainstays in the team’s lineup in the forthcoming season. Much of his success he owes to a chance to play along with several all-time greats of the game. It’s batting along with stalwarts like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli that he has been provided with an enormous amount of knowledge and insight to pave his way in the fields.

“It’s a great experience every time I bat with Rohit bhai. He has shared so many of his experiences with me. The way he controls the game, reads the wicket, and adjusts his batting is something I keep learning every now and then. Be it adjusting to seaming or turning tracks or managing a partnership after the fall of a wicket, there is just so much to learn,” Yashasvi Jaiswal said in a recent interview with Sportskeeda.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has repeatedly spoken about how his game sense has matured since he arrived at the international level.

“Now, I can read different situations and adapt my game accordingly, which is very vital for the team. Playing domestic cricket didn’t expose me to these nuances, but international cricket has taught me how to communicate and the awareness of the game. I’m keen to keep learning and growing,” he added.
