The young Mumbai opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been witnessing a phenomenal batting form in recent times. Mumbai team traveled to Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman for the first ODI. The visitors won the toss and elected to have a bowl first. The hosts were looking comfortable but kept on losing wickets at regular intervals kept them at bay. The opener Khawar Ali was the pick of the batsmen as he amassed 52 runs from 73 balls.
The middle-order failed to contribute but Khalid Kail was unstoppable as he played a decent knock of 76 runs from 85 balls which helped Oman reach a total of 196 runs. The visitors eventually got bundled out for 196 in the 48th over. The Mumbai batsmen came out all guns blazing as they looked very comfortable in their approach. But even they lost early wickets. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal was at his ferocious best.

Even with wickets falling at regular intervals, the partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Hardik Tamore saved the game for Mumbai. They eventually won the match in the 44th over after chasing down the target of 197 quite comfortably.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played a crucial knock for Mumbai against Oman as he amassed 82 runs from 79 balls with the help of five fours and as many sixes before getting out against Bilal Shah. Even Hardik Tamore amassed 51 runs out of 70 balls and went not out with the match-winning runs.

But the major outline in this whole one-day match was the huge six of Yashasvi. The 19-year-old player smashed a six which was so huge that the ball just went out of the ground. The timing and shot power were perfect which resulted in such a thunderous hitting.

This is certainly welcome news for the Rajasthan Royals since the youngster will be expected to play a crucial role in the franchise. The pitches in the UAE are very similar to that of Oman and because of the tough batting conditions, one needs more power to deliver boundaries and especially sixes. Yashaswi Jaiswal has shown the capability to deliver at such pitches after that monstrous six.
