While his maiden double century in the second Test showcased his potential, Yashasvi Jaiswal admitted to struggling in the first innings of the third Test. However, instead of succumbing to pressure, he drew inspiration from the veteran duo of Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, who stitched together a crucial partnership in the first innings.

“The way Rohit bhai and Jaddu bhai played in the first innings, that motivated me a lot,” Yashasvi Jaiswal said. “The passion was there, the talk was there, they were really determined to play session by session.

Learning from the seasoned campaigners, Jaiswal took his time initially in the second innings, ensuring he settled in before unleashing his aggressive strokeplay. He acknowledged the challenging conditions but emphasized the importance of building a solid foundation.
