Despite the political tension between India and Pakistan, there has always been a great camaraderie between the players of the two arch-rivals. Whenever they lock horns with each other on the 22 yards, they always give their best but gel well when they are off the field and even seen helping each other as well. The former Pakistan skipper Younis Khan recalled one such incident when he asked legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid for some help and the latter came to his room in order to help his Pakistani colleague.
Earlier in the day, Younis had recalled the time when Mohammad Azharuddin had helped him ahead of England tour and how his advice helped him score huge in the near future. In the same way, one of Pakistan’s most successful cricketers’ needed some golden advice from Dravid and the latter didn’t even think for a second before reaching out to Younis himself soon.

Younis Khan, during a show on India Today, opined that one should not hesitate in taking guidance from the former players or more so from the opposition players. He gave an example of how Dravid’s advice worked wonders for him in his career. He had asked Dravid for his five minutes during the 2004 Champions Trophy and when he changed his technique accordingly it worked for him.
Describing the same, Younis said, “The learning should not stop. I went to Rahul Dravid in 2004 Champions Trophy in Birmingham and I asked for 5 minutes but Dravid himself came to me and I was a junior player. I asked him a few questions and I took them ahead and it changed my cricket.”
The discussion was related to Indian batsmen struggling in England and Younis felt that India should’ve opted to take some suggestions from Dravid who has been immensely successful in the testing conditions and had notched up four centuries in 2011. In the recently concluded Test series, the flamboyant Indian batsmen apart from Virat Kohli couldn’t come to the terms and they lost the series by 4-1 eventually.
